1. Kyle Trask has made a Joe Burrow jump

The talk before the season was about “the next Joe Burrow” and no one really knew who it would be, but after one week of SEC play, it looks like Kyle Trask might be that guy.

Against Ole Miss, he three for 416 yards and six touchdowns with no interceptions on 30-of-42 passing. He was as ‘on the money’ as you could be through four quarters and his consistently-solid plays were the reason Ole Miss could never truly climb back into the game.

There is one thing Burrow and Trask have in common and that’s the SEC record for most touchdowns in an opener. Burrow did that last year and Trask did it on Saturday which is why the comparisons are happening, but let’s pump the breaks a bit.

No doubt, though, we are going to hear Trask/Burrow comparisons for the next week until the Florida quarterback can follow up his stellar opening performance.
