2. No. 25 Memphis (at SMU)

When this game kicks off, it’ll have been 28 days since Memphis last took the field. SMU has already won three games this season.

SMU’s offense has been explosive so far. They’ve scored over 50 points in two out of three games in 2020. In fact, SMU has crossed the 40 point mark in 10 of the 16 games Shane Buechele has started for the Mustangs.

In addition to Buechele’s passing, SMU also has the top rusher in the country, Ulysses Grant IV, who who has 380 yards with seven touchdowns.

Memphis defeated Arkansas State to begin the year and under new head coach Ryan Silverfield are still looking to get momentum going due to the stop and start schedule they’ve had.

This is Memphis’ first true test of the year, and doing it on the road against a team that’s had significantly more game experience in 2020 is a bad combination.
