Tennessee looked listless in their Week 4 opener against South Carolina. The return to Knoxville did the Volunteers right, as they walloped Missouri 35-12 at Neyland Stadium on Saturday to improve to 2-0. After falling five spots last week despite their win, Tennessee is in no danger of falling out of the AP Top 25 this week given the convincing performance. Look for them to land somewhere in the high teens or low 20s when the poll comes out for Week 6 on Sunday.

Eric Gray had a huge day for the Volunteers, carrying the ball 16 times for 105 yards and a touchdown. Gray added a 13-yard touchdown catch, the only scoring strike thrown on the day by Jarrett Guarantano. The quarterback finished with 190 yards through the air on 14-of-23 passing, but he did add two rushing scores to go with his passing touchdown to Gray.

Next week becomes an SEC East elimination game of sorts. If Tennessee truly wants to assert its presence in the division and maintain a spot in the AP Top 25 in Week 6, they must go between the hedges and take down Georgia in Athens.
