1. Kyle Trask is in legit Heisman form

Is this Joe Burrow or Kyle Trask? Honestly, it’s tough to tell right now.

Trask may not have put up gaudy numbers like he did in Week 4 against Ole Miss, but South Carolina’s defense is just a little better than the Rebels’. Also, he still only had eight incompletions on the day and four touchdowns.

The senior quarterback is looking like a legit Heisman contender, completing 21-of-29 passes for 268 yards and four touchdowns. He had an interception, but he’s already at 10 touchdown passes over his first two games to go along with nearly 700 yards. He’s looking like that Heisman candidate we all expected to emerge and assume the role of Burrow.

There aren’t many quarterbacks in college football playing as well as Trask right now and if he continues this pace, he might just run away with the Heisman Trophy.

OK, let me pace myself. It’s still early.
