BYU Football: 3 bold predictions vs. Houston in Week 7
2. Zach Wilson throws for 400 yards
Let’s face it, Zach Wilson has been one of the best quarterbacks in the country this season. He’s been as accurate as any quarterback in college football and he’s put up some monster numbers without making many mistakes. Rarely do you watch Wilson play and think “oh, he shouldn’t have thrown that” because, well, he’s incredibly precise and is a great decision-maker.
Wilson has passed for 1,241 yards and eight touchdowns with one interception and a completion rate of 81 percent. He’s second nationally in touchdown passes and ninth in QBR.
That’s only going to continue against Houston on Friday night as he travels to face the Cougars. He’s going to have his most prolific passing day of the season, throwing for over 400 yards and three touchdowns. He’s also only finish with a handful of incompletions.
Wilson will have a big day and seriously join the Heisman conversation, especially if the Cougars can pull off the big road win.
We haven’t seen a ton from Houston’s defense this season and that rust might carry over, allowing Wilson to have this monster performance.
