2. Kellen Mond totals five touchdowns

Kellen Mond looked pedestrian in an ugly win over Vanderbilt to begin the year. He looked like a lost puppy, at times, in a road blowout against Alabama. He bounced back and finally looked like a four-year starter and senior leader against Florida.

Against the Gators, Mond threw for 338 yards and three touchdowns with no turnovers and a completion rate of over 70 percent. That will continue against Mississippi State.

The Bulldogs don’t exactly have an elite defense, but they have put up some quality numbers thus far. If you only looked at numbers, you’d be led to believe Mississippi State’s defense was top-tier, but it hasn’t faced a truly competent offense yet — outside of maybe LSU.

Texas A&M has the weapons necessary to cause problems here.

The Aggies are going to rely heavily on Mond on Saturday afternoon against the Bulldogs and he’s going to respond with a five-touchdown performance. He’ll throw for three and rush for another two as he’ll continue that upward climb.
