1. Sam Pittman is one of the SEC’s best coaches

Laugh at this one all you want, but try to argue it. What Sam Pittman’s done in just one offseason with this bottom-dwelling program is nothing short of miraculous.

No, Pittman isn’t better than Nick Saban or Kirby Smart or Dan Mullen but he’s in the top half of coaches in the SEC. He’s proving to be one of the best at what he does and while he might not get that recognition any time soon, he’s going to prove it in the next couple of seasons.

Pittman has taken a horrid defense and lackluster offense and turned them both around. The Razorbacks just intercepted one of the hottest quarterbacks in the country six times and held an elite offense to just 21 points while putting up 33 of their own behind a veteran quarterback in Feleipe Franks — who Pittman has also helped to develop.

Arkansas’ culture has completely changed and no longer is this team a perennial punching bag but rather the Razorbacks are giving everyone fits.

Fans better hope Pittman stays in Fayetteville for a while, because he’s the answer to this program’s woes.
