2. Hank Bachmeier is a legit star

When Boise State upset Florida State on the road a year ago, it knew that something special was brewing under center in then-freshman quarterback Hank Bachmeier.

About 1,900 passing yards and nine touchdowns later, Bachmeier enters the 2020 season with the hope of becoming one of the best quarterbacks in the Group of Five. And on Saturday night against Utah State, he delivered.

The sophomore quarterback had quite the opener, passing for 268 yards and three touchdowns while completing 20-of-28 passes.

Bachmeier proved to be one of the best quarterbacks in the Mountain West with his near-perfect performance against Utah State. He was on the money all night long and helped lead the Broncos to a much-needed 29-point win over the Aggies.
