Winner: Wisconsin (Up to No. 9)

Wisconsin was a team that had a lot of questions on the offensive side of the ball heading into this season but after one game, they have answers. Last year’s starting quarterback Jack Coan got injured and was out indefinitely and that gave way to the highest rated quarterback recruit in Badgers history to make his debut.

Graham Mertz was well thought of coming out of high school and Badgers fans have been awaiting his debut. It could not have gone better, as Mertz was 20-for-21 with five touchdowns. If Mertz can keep this level of play up, watch out for the Badgers in the Big Ten race.

Winner: Coastal Carolina (Up to No. 20)

Coastal Carolina continues to climb in the polls and I am going to reward them for it. For a program that has not been around very long, the Chanticleers continue to impress week after week and this week it was with their backup quarterback against a solid Georgia Southern team.

Coastal’s defense played exceptionally well and the offense did not miss a beat without a starter Grayson McCall on Saturday. It is a long shot, but Coastal could have a chance at the New Year’s Six if they can keep winning.
