Missouri and Florida football will meet on Saturday night for a potential shootout, but will the Gators be rusty after an extended break?

Saturday night in The Swamp in primetime, the Florida Gators will return after two weeks without a game due to the COVID-19 outbreak after their previous game — their only loss to Texas A&M.

The Gators will host the Missouri Tigers which should’ve been played last weekend but due to the positive tests continuing on campus, both schools decided to play on a bye week rather than to cancel the game.

Hopefully with the past few weeks the team had suspended all football operations and we will find out on Saturday night if Florida can overcome without being able practice and continue to roll on from the previous games.

Kyle Trask is playing at an elite level this season and hopefully can help get this team back on the path to the SEC championship game and if the polls and committee’s kindness might be chances to make the College Football Playoff. He has gone 74-for-103 with 14 touchdowns, one interception and just shy of 1,000 yards passing in only four games. If he continues this path, he could have a Heisman-worthy season despite what outcome the Gators’ final record will be in just over 60 days.

Florida will be wearing the uniforms as seen in the tweet below — throwback classic look — as this will be an epic look for the Gators in primetime.

Here’s how you can watch the Gators vs. Tigers:

Date: Saturday, Oct. 31
Time: 7:30 p.m. ET
Location: Gainesville, Fla.
Venue: Ben Hill Griffin Stadium
TV: SEC Network Alt
Live Stream: WatchESPN

Keys to Victory

  • Offensive line needs to protect Kyle Trask in this game and not allow an inch to the Tigers front seven and minimal contact so he can excel
  • Gators front seven needs to step up their game and stop allowing running backs to rip up huge 10-15 yard gains on 2nd/3rd and short at  pivotal points in the game when the defense needs to get a stop
  • Turnovers for the Gators defense has to be a must in this game to keep the Tigers out of this one if they expect to win by 2-3 scores

The Gators will look to get back on the right track after a loss to Texas A&M and an extended break due to a COVID-19 outbreak.
