1. Quick takeaways for Georgia State

The Panthers have to go back to the drawing board. The Chanticleers’ defense completely stifled the offense. The Panthers were dominated in the trenches on both sides of the football. The offensive line of the Chanticleers moved the Panthers at will in this game. The Chanticleers’ defensive line had its way with Georgia State.

The Panthers were completely overwhelmed on both sides of the ball in this one. Georgia State has been up and down most of the season. The Panthers have not been dominated the way they were today, however.

Quick takeaways for Coastal Carolina

The Chanticleers have learned quickly how to play with expectations. Even with Grayson McCall out last week, Coastal Carolina found a way to win. The Chanticleers’ offense has the ability to dominate. The offensive line is not very big, but they are polished and technically sound. The defensive line is similar. Not huge, but sound and get after tie quarterback.

The Chanticleers are in a great position to argue for the New Year’s Six if they can remain undefeated. Coastal has two critical games left on its schedule. First, the Chants have to take on Appalachian State, and if they get past that game, they play the Liberty Flames. If the Chants can run the table, there is an NY6 argument for the Chants. The Chanticleers play South Alabama next week.
