2. Breece Hall is the Big 12’s best running back

Is this a hot take considering Chuba Hubbard is still in the Big 12? Maybe, but this season, Breece Hall has stolen the show.

Hubbard got off to a slow start and Hall has been the poster child of consistency through six games, rushing for 100 yards in each outing. And following a breakout performance a week ago against a stingy Oklahoma State defense, the sophomore running back followed it up with an equally impressive outing against Kansas.

Heading into the matchup, I predicted that Hall would reach 200 yards for the first time this season, but I was wrong. By 15 yards.

The sophomore rushed for 185 yards for the second straight week and he only needed 21 carries to do so. He also carried the ball just 21 times. He looked like a superstar and he’s just getting started with the Cyclones.

We’re going to hear plenty of Hall for Heisman chatter next year.
