1. We still have yet to see the real Brock Purdy

Everyone who has watched Iowa State over the last two seasons knows what Brock Purdy is capable of. The junior quarterback is one of the best quarterbacks in the Big 12 and there was talk heading into the season that he might even be one of the top NFL draft prospects at the position, but he’s been pedestrian thus far.

Purdy was fresh off a forgettable 19-for-34 performance against Oklahoma State in which he passed for 162 yards and a touchdown with an interception.

How would he respond against the Big 12’s worst team? He improved those numbers, completing 23-of-34 yards for 239 yards and two touchdowns with an interception. It was clear that the staff didn’t want to rely too much on the passing game since the run game was working so well so he was held back a bit.

We have yet to see the real Purdy this season; the one who can be an All-Big 12 first-teamer and top pro prospect.

Will we see him at all in 2020?
