After a thrilling Week 10, the Week 1 1AP Poll is showing that there could be a thrilling finish to see who makes the College Football Playoff.

I argued this week that Notre Dame was under an extreme amount of pressure heading into their big matchup this weekend with Clemson. Notre Dame had not beaten a top five opponent under head coach Brian Kelly and had not had much success against top ten competition.

With Clemson down so many starters, including star quarterback Trevor Lawrence, Notre Dame really needed a win here or it would be tough to envision them making it to the playoff.

Notre Dame answered the call and defeated Clemson, ending the Tigers 28-game ACC winning streak and now find themselves a winner in the Week 11 AP Poll. The Fighting Irish are now favored to get to the ACC Championship game and if they can avoid the upset, make the playoff for the second time in three seasons.

In the other big matchup of the weekend, Florida won emphatically over Georgia and the Gators are now the favorites to get to Atlanta and face Alabama in the SEC championship, with a potential playoff berth on the line. The Gators offense was fantastic and the defense rattled whoever Georgia had at quarterback.

Around the country, other teams made their case that they should be ranked higher in the AP Poll and a case to be considered for the playoff. Texas A&M had their most dominant win of the season over South Carolina, Cincinnati continued to dominate the AAC, beating Houston 38-10 behind another fantastic defensive performance, and BYU won at Boise State 51-17. Oh, and Indiana beat Michigan 38-21. These teams deserve to be recognized as contenders, but they still face a very uphill battle to make it to the playoff.

Here are the winners and losers from the Week 11 AP Poll
