2. Kyren Williams is a legitimate Heisman candidate

We know about Mac Jones, Justin Fields, Travis Etienne (maybe not anymore and Trevor Lawrence, but why don’t we talk more about Kyren Williams as a legit Heisman candidate?

Through seven games, Williams has 740 yards and 10 touchdowns on 5.8 yards per carry. If it weren’t for his quiet games against Pitt and Georgia Tech, he would likely be in that top-five range in the Heisman race. He has been giving defenses fits all season long and he just rushed for 140 yards and three touchdowns against one of the best run defenses in the country.

Williams is just a sophomore and he’s gaining some serious steam for the Heisman race next season and if he can continue his rise, he will be a top-five candidate for 2021.

Will we see Williams get an invite to the virtual ceremony this season? If he finishes strong and averages over 125, or so, yards per game for the rest of the season, he should.

Right now, he looks like a top-three running back in college football.
