4. Notre Dame (at Boston College)

Just because Notre Dame finally won a big game doesn’t mean they’re off the hook this week against Boston College.

Boston College has shown how good they can be already this season. It seems they play up to their competition with the exception of a bad 28-point loss to Virginia Tech. The Eagles defeated then 3-1 Pitt and pushed Clemson to the limit, but struggled last week against Syracuse.

If Notre Dame is still riding high from last week and sleeps on the Eagles, there could be big trouble.

Former Notre Dame quarterback Phil Jurkovec leads Boston College into this game with a chip on his shoulder and something to prove. He’s been great this year: top 10 in the nation in passing yards, 15 touchdowns and four picks.

Against a secondary that gave up 439 passing yards to Clemson last week, this Irish defense could be ripe for the picking.

This game is usually always close and this year looks like it has that same potential. Coming off a big win over number one, could it be 1993 all over again for Notre Dame?
