Florida football hosted Arkansas in a week full of COVID-related postponements in the SEC and found their way to victory, 63-35.

Florida dominated Arkansas from the first snap and didn’t let up until the clock hit zero. Even without Kyle Pitts — who we will discuss later — this offense is rolling and despite defensive struggles, things are looking up in Gainesville.

Will this defense be enough to beat Alabama in the SEC title game? That is still to be seen, but as of right now things are looking good at least offensively for the Gators.

What did we learn from this game, specifically about the Gators?

3. No Kyle Pitts, no problem

When Kyle Pitts was called out this week and likely the next because of concussion protocol, many were questioning if the Florida offense would be able to put up as much of a fight as they had throughout the weeks before.

Pitts is a huge part of the Florida offense and people were prepared for the Razorbacks to have more of a chance in this one. However, that isn’t what happened by a long shot.

Trevon Grimes, Xzavier Henderson, Kadarious Toney, Keon Zipperer and Justin Shorter just to name a few filled in that hole left by Pitts with big nights and touchdowns. Seven of them to be exact. Things are looking like the Florida offense won’t miss a beat even with another week without Pitts as they will be facing off against the likes of Vanderbilt — a bottom-dweller in the SEC.
