Florida football is heading to Vanderbilt in Week 12 but will the Gators avoid a major letdown following a couple of big wins?

Saturday could mark the last matchup between Dan Mullen and Derek Mason and while it might not have the same fireworks that it had a couple of years ago in Nashville, it could act as a springboard for Florida and Kyle Trask to improve their resumes.

Florida is still trying to make the College Football Playoff and it has a clear path to the SEC title game after beating Georgia and Trask is at the top of the Heisman race.

This game isn’t exactly must-see TV, but if you want to see a potential playoff team and arguably the best quarterback in the country, you need to tune in.

Let’s dive into some bold predictions.

3. Florida finally has 100-yard rusher

Not one time this season has Florida had a 100-yard rusher. It’s not like the talent is lacking in the backfield. Actually, it’s the opposite. Florida has a ton of talent at the running back position, but for whatever reason, the Gators just haven’t dedicated much time to the run game.

Florida has guys like Dameon Pierce, Malik Davis, Nay’Quan Wright, Iverson Clement and Lorenzo Lingard but none of them have sniffed that 100-yard mark. Pierce has been the closest, but he has just 61 attempts on the season.

For the first time this season, Florida boasts a 100-yard rusher and it won’t be Kyle Trask.

I’m going with Pierce here as he breaks the 400-yard mark on the season with his performance against the Commodores. I wouldn’t be shocked if someone like Lingard got more touches as well and became a breakout star.

No matter who it is, a 100-yard rusher is much-needed for this offense.
