1. Notre Dame scores 50 points in a win

In two of the past three games, North Carolina has allowed at least 40 points. The Tar Heels surrendered 53 in a win over Wake Forest last time out and then two games earlier, gave up 44 in a loss to an average Virginia team.

The Irish have scored at least 40 points five times this season, including in each of the past two games against Clemson and Boston College.

North Carolina’s defense isn’t known for being all that stingy and Notre Dame’s offense has been better this season than it has been in the entire Brian Kelly era, arguably.

Ian Book will have himself a solid game, out-dueling Sam Howell and Kyren Williams will approach 200 yards on the ground so if that’s not any indication that the Irish will be able to do whatever they want offensively, I don’t know what is.

Notre Dame will top 50 points for the second time this season, topping the No. 25 team in the country by 10.
