Kentucky travels to Gainesville on Saturday to take on Florida football. Can Kentucky slow down the high-powered Gators offense?

This SEC matchup features two teams heading in completely opposite directions. One team is one of the hottest teams in the county, while the other teams fan base is probably more excited about basketball season starting up.

Florida comes into this matchup after beating Vanderbilt 38-17 last weekend. The Gators also have four game winning streak coming into this game. Kentucky on the other hand, is coming off one of their largest losses in program history to Alabama 63-3. Surprisingly, this was only the fifth worst loss for the Wildcats in their programs history.

Playing in the SEC means that there are never any easy games. The SEC is the best conference in the country when it comes to college football. Since it is the best conference there will always be a battle no matter the opponent. Kentucky is finding that out the hard way. Kentucky played the No. 1 team in Alabama last week, and now has to face off against another top ranked team in the country in the Florida Gators on Saturday.

Just like last week against the Crimson Tide, this game most likely won’t end well for Kentucky either. But it is 2020, so Kentucky could come out very hungry and determined after their lopsided lost last week.

It will not come easy though against the sixth-ranked Gators. Florida has been playing some quality football these last couple weeks, but will be getting even stronger now. Star tight end Kyle Pitts is scheduled to return to the field for the Gators on Saturday. This will give the Wildcats defense one more thing to worry about out on the field.

Here are three bold predictions for this SEC matchup.
