2. The Aggie defense was playoff caliber

It wasn’t a good day for the offense, something we will discuss here in a minute. However, the defense was something that was beautiful to watch for an Aggie fan. They held LSU out of the end zone until the final minutes of the game and were able to keep TJ Finley and Max Johnson off balance throughout the matchup.

Bobby Brown and Andre White each contributed a sack and six players contributed quarterback hurries. Two different players — Jaylon Jones and Buddy Johnson — contributed interceptions, Johnson’s turning into a touchdown.

Things went well for the defense and that is putting it mildly. I would say that this unit showed the Playoff committee that something special could be brewing down in College Station.
