The month of December is upon us and Florida football has lofty goals. Will the Gators make the playoff or feature a Heisman winner?

Florida has been dominating teams lately and even with a loss to Texas A&M earlier in the season, the Gators look like serious playoff contenders.

Dan Mullen has been one of the best coaches in the country, leading a dominant offense but he’s been waiting for that defense to catch up so this team can be as complete as anyone. Will the Gators be able to capture an SEC title and make the College Football Playoff despite featuring a defense that leaves a lot to be desired.

Let’s dive into some bold predictions.

3. Offense puts up at least 550 yards in each of final two games

Two games remain on the 2020 regular season schedule for Florida and both are more than winnable with a nosediving Tennessee team that can’t seem to do anything right anymore and the reigning national champs in the LSU Tigers who have been really, really bad this year.

And both of those teams have bad defenses.

What does that mean? Florida is going to go off in the final two games. In fact, the Gators’ offense is going to have an absolute field day to end the regular season with a 9-1 record and head to the SEC title game. The Gators will post at least 550 yards in each of the final two games and a lot of that will obviously come from the arm of Kyle Trask.

This offense is darn good and Tennessee and LSU will find that out the hard way.
