2. Ian Book out-duels Trevor Lawrence

There’s a belief among many college football fans that if Trevor Lawrence played in the first matchup between Notre Dame and Clemson that the Tigers would have won.

However, that’s not fair to the Irish. DJ Uiagalelei played a heck of a game and Notre Dame made the plays down the stretch to secure the win. And you have to assume that Ian Book is sick of hearing that because he’s not exactly a slouch at the position.

Book played one of his best games as a member of Notre Dame in the last matchup against Clemson and last time I checked, Lawrence doesn’t play defense so his absence had no affect on that outburst from the senior quarterback. He’s going to prove doubters wrong yet again, out-dueling the future No. 1 overall draft pick in the rematch.

That’s not to say that Lawrence is going to have a bad game here but Book is going to play out of his mind, passing for over 300 yards while rushing for another 50 with three total touchdowns.

Give this man the respect he deserves.
