2. Kellen Mond will never get the respect he deserves

Ever since his freshman year, Kellen Mond was looked at as a solid quarterback with plenty of room to grow and as the seasons went on, many were quick to criticize him because he wasn’t a Heisman front-runner.

But despite all of that criticism from experts and even his own fans, Mond has put together quite the career at Texas A&M. Not only is he a four-year starter, but he’s put up some big-time numbers, accounting for 92 total touchdowns in his career. That puts him just one shy of Johnny Manziel who currently owns the program record with 93.

Mond had another solid game on Saturday with 281 passing yards and a touchdown on 26-of-32 completions and another 59 rushing yards and another score. The offense wasn’t playing its best, but he still had himself a game and made sure the Aggies didn’t suffer a slip-up right ahead of the final playoff rankings.

If we’re being honest, Mond will never get the respect he deserves and he may be overlooked among the all-time greats at Texas A&M, but he has the numbers to be mentioned with the best.
