If there’s one position group on the roster outside of the defensive line that has an incredibly bright future, it would have to be the receiving corps.

Moose Muhammad, Demond Demas and Devin Price were all true freshmen this past season and Chase Lane, Jalen Preston and Hezekiah Jones should all be back in 2021. Add someone like Brian Thomas Jr. to the mix and you have a young group that could be as solid as any in the SEC — maybe minus Alabama which has been a receiver factory.

Thomas Jr. is looking at staying in SEC country and many believe he’ll remain in his home state of Louisiana and commit to LSU when it’s all said and done.

But programs like Alabama, Georgia and Texas A&M haven’t given up on him yet. The fact that he didn’t commit or sign in the early period is good news for the other three contenders even though Ed Orgeron may currently have the upper hand.

The four-star wide out is ranked the No. 79 prospect in the country and 13th-best receiver in the class, per the composite.
