AJ Green is listed as an athlete on 247Sports but there are two positions he’s most likely suited to play at the next level: running back and defensive back. My bet would be on the former.

Green has a solid 5-11, 194-pound frame and he was recruited by some programs to play cornerback, but has made it known that his desired position at the collegiate level is running back and why not? He has plenty of speed as a track star and he’s more than athletic enough to line up in the backfield for the Razorbacks.

With Rakeem Boyd gone, Arkansas will need depth at running back and Green could provide that from day one. Trelon Smith will likely be the starter and TJ Hammonds announced his return so he could be battling for that backup spot. He’s more of a receiver/running back hybrid, though.

Green could get some early looks and he probably should because he might end up being the most talented option in the backfield by the end of the 2021 season.

The four-star athlete is ranked the No. 111 prospect in the class as well as the No. 4 athlete, according to 247Sports. Arkansas could use a weapon like him right away.
