Florida football has been recruiting well under Dan Mullen and the 2022 class is loaded with talent. Who are the Gators’ early top targets?

Dan Mullen has signed yet another solid recruiting class in Gainesville and it looks like the Gators will once again be favorites in the SEC East.

Taking down Georgia again will be the top priority on the field for Mullen, along with potentially getting a rematch with Alabama and some revenge, too, but off the field, the Florida coach is hoping to land another top 10 recruiting class in 2022 to keep pace with the big boys of the SEC.

Who will Florida be treating as priorities in the 2022 recruiting class?

Florida will be looking to upgrade that defensive line next year and Dante Anderson would help with that immediately.

The four-star defensive end from Homestead, Fla., is going to be a top priority for every major program in the state of Florida and probably every team in the ACC and SEC. Right now, it looks like he may be a slight Miami-lean, but Florida and Florida State are still high up on his list and that doesn’t look to be changing any time soon.

Anderson is ranked the No. 113 overall prospect in the class and No. 8 weak-side defensive end, according to the composite and 247Sports even has him ranked as a top-50 player in the class.

The 6-3, 205-pounder needs to add some muscle to his frame but when he does, he’s going to be a beast. He’s already a great athlete, he just needs that size.
