Another top defensive lineman in the 2022 class, Jeremiah Alexander might be closer to committing to Alabama than the aforementioned Walter Nolen.

Alexander is the No. 11 prospect in the 2022 class as well as the top weak-side defensive end, according to the composite. He’s also listed as the No. 1 prospect in the state of Alabama. This is a must-have recruit for the Crimson Tide and the fact that he’s an in-state kid is the main reason he beat out the other two guys on this list for the No. 1 spot.

The Alabaster, Ala., native isn’t the biggest defensive end prospect, standing just 6-foot-2 and 235 pounds, but he’s every bit as talented as the rest of the recruits on Alabama’s board.

If Nick Saban is going to keep Alexander home, he’s going to have to beat out the likes of Clemson and Georgia. It’s not going to be easy, but if he had to decide today, it looks like the Crimson Tide would be the choice.
