1. Los Angeles Chargers (No. 13 overall)

No doubt in my mind, this is the best landing spot for Kyle Pitts and it also makes the most sense. Most of the mock drafts that I’ve seen — and even my own — have Pitts going to the Chargers at No. 13 overall. This almost seems like a match made in heaven.

Los Angeles may be parting ways with Hunter Henry this offseason as he’s a free agent and Pitts would be one heck of a replacement.

Plus, having a budding star like Justin Herbert at quarterback would be the best-case scenario of essentially any realistic first-round destination for Pitts. Which team on this list has a better situation at tight end than the Chargers? The reigning Offensive Rookie of the Year threw for over 4,300 yards and 31 touchdowns last season and Pitts is only going to help those numbers.

Pitts could join a young roster and become a star in year one much like Herbert did as a rookie in 2020. Seeing one of the brightest young stars in the league under center in Los Angeles, Pitts has to hope to be selected by the Chargers here.

He just has to hope that the Eagles or Falcons don’t scoop him up first.
