2- Tight End: Kevin Bauman

During the 2020 season, Bauman had to wait his turn behind some pretty talented tight ends, but now should be his time to shine along with his classmate Michael Mayer and others.

Fellow tight end George Takacs, and Bauman were going to get a shot at playing time with senior Brock Wright graduating, but with junior starting tight end Tommy Tremble declaring for the NFL it opens up that much more opportunity for them on the field.

Bauman fits the mold of what Notre Dame looks for in their tight ends. The New Jersey product has great size at 6-foot-5 and around 240 pounds. Bauman had limited snaps last year and only had one catch for five yards against the University of South Florida in September.

Notre Dame loves to use two-tight end sets. With Mayer taking up a lot of the reps at one spot, Bauman will get to make some noise at the other spot. During his senior year in high school, the star tight end had 687 yards receiving and 10 touchdowns.

Kevin Bauman should be next in line to help keep the saying of tight end university around at Notre Dame for years to come in the future.
