Florida Football: Pre-spring game-by-game predictions for 2021
Missouri was one of the biggest surprises in the SEC last season under Eli Drinkwitz and the Tigers seem to be trending in the right direction as a program, but they aren’t quite on the level of Florida and the rest of the conference’s big dogs.
Still, the Tigers will hold their own in this one at home in front of a raucous crowd. The Tigers will take this one down to the wire before Florida kicks a game-winning field goal as time expires.
Final Score: Florida 24, Missouri 21 (8-3, 5-3)
From 2010-2017, Florida State dominated this in-state rivalry. In fact, the Seminoles won 7-of-8 games in the rivalry but Florida has gotten the better of Florida State over the past two years.
Will that trend continue?
While I believe that Mike Norvell will get the Seminoles back to being competitive, I just don’t think this is the season his guys will pull off the upset over the Gators. Plus, the game is in Gainesville so the chances of an upset become that much slimmer.
Emory Jones comes up clutch in this one with a late touchdown pass to end the season strong.
Final Score: Florida State 24, Florida 28 (9-3)
