3. Alex Raynor, Kicker

It may seem odd to put a kicker on the list, but given Georgia Southern’s success with kickers over the past few seasons, it’s not hard to understand why Alex Raynor is on here.

Currently, the Eagles have two former kickers that start for their respective NFL teams: Younghoe Koo and Tyler Bass.

Koo earned a Pro Bowl selection for his excellent year with the Atlanta Falcons where he led the NFL in field goals made (37), while Bass had an excellent rookie season with the Buffalo Bills that included him hitting a 54-yard field goal in the playoffs, a rookie record.

Is it crazy to call GA Southern Kicker-U?

Raynor is coming off a solid 2020 in which he went 18-for-25 on field goals, while also making 40 extra points. He also earned All-Sun Belt conference third-team honors for his success.

Expect Raynor to continue to build off his strong 2020 season, and also look for him in the NFL someday if the trend continues.
