The Crimson Tide open their season against the Miami Hurricanes in Atlanta, Georgia. The health of Hurricanes’ senior quarterback D’Eriq King is the big question for “The U”. Even if King is healthy and ready to go, where is the offensive firepower? Oklahoma transfer Charleston Rambo and a returning Cam’Ron Harris are not enough.

Defensively, Jaelan Phillips and Quincy Roche were drafted, which leaves questions about the Hurricane pass rush even with the addition of Tennesse transfer Deandre Johnson. Even with the inexperience with the Alabama receivers, the Hurricanes have too many questions in their own secondary.

Final score: Alabama 42, Miami 21 (1-0)

The Crimson Tide open the season against FCS foe, the Mercer Bears. This one is a bit obvious. The Tide win going away and get some work for some of the younger players. What Alabama hopes is they get out of this game without any significant injuries to any frontline players.

Roll Tide Roll.

Final score: Alabama 56, Mercer 7 (2-0)
