Poor Vanderbilt, it doesn’t even really stand a chance here.

A couple of weeks after molly whopping Tennessee at home, the Gators will be back in Gainesville, hosting a Vanderbilt team that went 0-9 last season behind the arm of freshman quarterback Ken Seals in the final year of Derek Mason.

Now former Notre Dame defensive coordinator Clark Lea is in charge and he’s ready to finally get the Commodores out of the cellar for the first time since James Franklin.

That’s not going to happen in 2021.

There have been fireworks in this matchup in years past, but that was between Mason and Dan Mullen so don’t expect this to be a budding rivalry, by any means. Florida is going to take care of business in this early-October game and move into the meat of the schedule with some momentum.

I wouldn’t be surprised if this was a four or five-touchdown win.
