What an offseason it’s been for Kansas. The Jayhawks parted ways with Les Miles after he was the subject of off-field issues dating back to his days at Oklahoma State and even some inappropriate coaching behavior with Kansas. They hired Lance Leipold from Buffalo who is also a former Division II coaching legend.

The Jayhawks are probably going to be a laughingstock in the Big 12 yet again, so I see Baylor opening conference play with a nice layup on the road before the Bears get into the beef of their schedule.

Final Score: Baylor 41, Kansas 13 (3-0, 1-0 Big 12)

Remember when I said Baylor was about to enter the beef of its schedule? Yeah, it starts at the end of September with a tough home game against Iowa State.

The Cyclones are considered one of the few favorites to win the Big 12 this season and it has a lot to do with Brock Purdy and Breece Hall. This offense should be one of the best in college football and the defense is going to be pretty solid as well.

Matt Campbell might just have his best team ever at Iowa State and this might be a special season for the Cyclones. They’ll avoid a slip-up in Waco.

Final Score: Iowa State 35, Baylor 27 (3-1, 1-1)
