Texas State was one of the worst teams in college football last season, going just 2-10, winning both games in the Sun Belt and losing big to its only matchup with a non-conference team with a pulse (45-14 to BYU). The Bobcats did lose by just three to Boston College, but Baylor should be a better team than both this season.

The Bobcats won’t be much of a test for Baylor to start the season as the Bears will pick up a convincing win over Texas State.

Final Score: Baylor 44, Texas State 10 (1-0)

Much like the opener against Texas State, Texas Southern shouldn’t present much of a test for Baylor in Week 2.

The Tigers had their season moved to the spring because of COVID-19 and they went 1-2 but their one victory was a forfeit. So the only two games they played, they lost.

Texas Southern is looking like one of the worst FCS teams heading into 2021 and Baylor should nearly shut the Tigers out.

Final Score: Texas Southern 7, Baylor 38 (2-0)
