Texas A&M Football Schedule and Predictions

Entering Jimbo Fisher’s fourth season, the Aggies have their sights set on a national championship and going undefeated. Will that happen? Let’s take a look at how their season breaks down.

  • Game 1 vs. Kent State- W– This should be an easy game for the Aggies in which they breeze by their opponent.
  • Game 2 @ Colorado- W– This game will be significantly more difficult than what they faced against Kent State and we will see an official starter emerge at QB.
  • Game 3 vs. New Mexico- W– This may not be as easy as Kent State, but I don’t see much of a struggle happening here.
  • Game 4 vs. Arkansas, AT&T Stadium- W– This game will not be as close as it has been in past seasons. I don’t anticipate overtime needed or anything like that as the Aggies are done playing down to their opponent.
  • Game 5 vs. Mississippi State- W– The Bulldogs will be battling to not be the bottom of the West this year and with it being the SEC Opener in a full Kyle Field, I don’t see this one being a difficult game for the Aggies.
  • Game 6 vs. Alabama- L– I am going to go ahead and predict a loss here, even though I think the Aggies could pull out a win with decent QB play and a strong defensive showing.
  • Game 7 @ Missouri- W– This one could be a trap game for the Aggies coming off a struggle with Alabama, but the Maroon and White will come out victorious on the road.
  • Game 8 vs. South Carolina- W– The Aggies haven’t lost to South Carolina yet, and I don’t see it happening now. Aggies win big again here.
  • Game 9 vs. Auburn- W– This one is always a toss-up for the Ags, but I don’t believe in Bo Nix and the Auburn Tigers this year.
  • Game 10 @ Ole Miss- W– This one will be an offensive shoot-out, as I mentioned before, but I think the Aggies have the defense to win this one. Look for DeMarvin Leal to be big in this one.
  • Game 11 vs. PVAMU- W– Another easy game, a tune-up before they head on the road to Death Valley. Check out that band at halftime though.
  • Game 12 @ LSU- W– Another team I am not convinced will be great this year, but playing in Death Valley is never easy. Look for this to be a hard-fought win for the Aggies.

Prediction, 11-1

The Aggies have the chance to go undefeated this year if they can pull off the win of the year against Alabama at home to make it to the SEC title game and maybe even the Playoffs.

However, I am going to go ahead and say that 11-1 and a New Years Six berth is in the cards for the Aggies while I don’t know who will be the quarterback and how he will work with the offensive weapons that he has. Talk to me again on October 9th before the Aggies face off against the Tide and I may or may not be singing a different tune.
