Texas A&M Football: 3 bold predictions vs. Colorado in Week 2
By Shelbie Warr
1. The defense continues to grab turnovers
Leon O’Neal had two interceptions on Saturday against Kent State — one returned for a touchdown. I am a true believer in this defense, especially with Michael Clemons coming back. They may not be the No. 1 defense in the SEC this season, but they will be up there. They are experienced and they are opportunistic.
They struggled against the run a bit, but things will be plugged up this week as they watch the film and figure out what needs to be fixed.
My money this week is on Demani Richardson. Look for No. 26 to get an interception on Saturday afternoon against the Buffs and for it to be a momentum shifter, much like Leon O’Neal’s was. Will O’Neal get himself another one? Maybe, but I’m watching Richardson for this week.
I also believe that we will see more from DeMarvin Leal on Saturday, maybe a sack or two that will really keep the Aggies ahead and ahead for good.
