1. Notre Dame (-7) vs. Purdue

Has a team ever felt worse after a win than Notre Dame did this past weekend following a 32-29 win over Toledo in South Bend? I honestly doubt it.

The Fighting Irish looked really bad against the Rockets in a game they were supposed to win by about three touchdowns after an emotional Week 1 win over Florida State. Luckily, most fans weren’t able to tune into this game because it was streamed on Peacock (yeah, I don’t know) and they got to avoid the horrible performance.

Now Notre Dame is back on national TV, playing on NBC at 2:30 p.m. ET on Saturday afternoon against a familiar opponent in Purdue. This used to be a nearly annual matchup but the two teams haven’t met since 2014 when the Irish won 30-14. Notre Dame has five straight wins in this series dating back to 2007.

Jeff Brohm and the Boilermakers might be 2-0 and fresh off a 49-0 blowout of UConn, but the Huskies and Oregon State aren’t anywhere near what they’ll see in Notre Dame.

Jack Coan and Kyren Williams will bounce back to beat Purdue by a couple of touchdowns, covering the 7-point spread.
