Ranking the 5 best college football bets for Week 3 of 2021 season
2. Washington vs. Arkansas State (under 58)
If you’ve watched Washington football this season, I’m sorry. The Huskies have one of the worst offenses in college football and I don’t even think talent is the issue, it’s more so execution and coaching. The play-calling has been horrid and that was never more evident than against Michigan when they struggled to put up 10 points.
A week earlier, the Huskies were upset in shocking fashion by Montana from the FCS, 13-7. So through two games, Washington has two total touchdowns and 17 total points. Yeah, that’s not good.
So you’re expecting me to believe that the Huskies’ offense is suddenly going to put up 30-40 points against Arkansas State? Yeah, that’s not happening.
Sure, the Red Wolves gave up 55 points to Memphis and 21 to Central Arkansas, but I must stress that Washington scored seven against Montana at home. Washington might go bananas and score 3-4 touchdowns on Saturday, but there’s no chance the defense gives up 20-30 to Arkansas State in return.
This game has the feel of a 30-10 type of final score.
