2. Anthony Richardson

Let me just put this out there: I am a massive believer in Anthony Richardson.

I’ll admit, I was also a fan of Emory Jones before the season began, but his struggles this season weren’t all that shocking because he didn’t get a ton of passing opportunities through his first few seasons in Gainesville behind Feleipe Franks and Kyle Trask. His passing struggles are disappointing, but not all that surprising.

Richardson, on the other hand, has been a revelation.

He’s been great with his legs, but his arm is also special. Just take a look at this incredible throw he made against South Florida last weekend:

Don’t give me that “it was just South Florida, who cares” garbage because this throw is incredible and nearly impossible no matter the opponent. He was 3-for-3 with 152 yards and two passing touchdowns against the Bulls and added 115 rushing yards and a score.

On the year, he has 275 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 11 carries along with 192 passing yards in limited action. He needs to be the starter and if he is against Alabama, the Crimson Tide will be in trouble.

Although he came up gimpy against South Florida on a long touchdown run, his hamstring is apparently fine and he’s been practicing all week.
