1. Nebraska keeps things close — for three quarters

Nebraska has bounced back nicely from its season-opening loss to Illinois, out-scoring its last two opponents by a combined 80-10 score.

While Oklahoma is on an entirely different level than Fordham and Buffalo, I do believe that the Cornhuskers are going to keep this one close for a few quarters. The Sooners struggled to put Tulane away and Nebraska has far more firepower than the Green Wave and that’s why I see this one being closer than expected.

But then the fourth quarter will start.

The Cornhuskers don’t have enough firepower to keep up with the Sooners but Nebraska and Scott Frost are going to surprise people on Saturday.

Why will this one be so close heading into the fourth quarter? Honestly, I think the Sooners are overlooking Nebraska quite a bit and when that happens (like it did against Tulane), it doesn’t usually end well.

Oklahoma wins by 2-3 touchdowns still but this one will be within reach by the time the fourth quarter rolls around.
