Boise State football had a close heartbreaking loss to Oklahoma State in Boise on Saturday night, 21-20. This was the second game of the two-game series between the two schools.

This matchup in 2021 was a return game from when Boise State went into Stillwater in 2018. Oklahoma State won that matchup at home over the Broncos 44-21.

The game on Saturday was obviously a lot closer game compared to the last time these two battled in 2018. The Broncos got out to a 20-7 lead last night until the Cowboys came back and scored 14 straight to take a 21-20 heading into the half.

If you like high-scoring games, then this second half of this matchup was not for you. Both teams did not end up scoring at all in the third or fourth quarters.

Oklahoma State kicker Alex Hale missed a 41-yard try late in the third quarter. And while Boise State kicker Jonah Dalmas was 2-for-3 on the night on field goals, he had his 36-yard game-winning field goal with under two minutes left partially blocked.

Here are three players who deserve a game ball for keeping Boise State in the close loss.
