2. Sam Hartman may be the nation’s most underrated quarterback

When you hear about the top quarterbacks in college football, how often do you hear Sam Hartman’s name brought up? Probably never. And that’s the problem.

Even when you hear about the best quarterbacks in the ACC, it’s usually Sam Howell, D’Eriq King, and DJ Uiagalelei but almost never Hartman. On Friday night, he may have changed that just a little bit. Hartman has been fantastic this season with 691 yards and six touchdowns on a career-best 68 percent completion rate heading into this game.

Hartman was solid once again versus the Cavaliers on Friday night, not making any mistakes and making all the right throws. He looked like a pro.

The sophomore quarterback finished the game with 270 yards and three touchdowns on 17-of-29 completions. He out-dueled Brennan Armstrong and was poised and confident all night long.

If Wake Forest makes a run, it’ll be due to Hartman flying under the radar.
