1. Tanner McKee’s first pick of the year seals the game

With Stanford looking to put together a comeback effort late in the fourth quarter on Friday night, Tanner McKee will step back to pass and he’ll overthrow his receiver. The Cardinal quarterback’s pass will sail into the arms of Jalen Jones.

This pick will be the nail in the coffin for Stanford as a second straight ranked win will be off the table as Arizona State will wind the clock down, drive down the field and score a touchdown to really put the game out of reach. It may be a one-score game before this pick as Arizona State fans will be sweating out a close game, but the Sun Devils will win by two scores.

McKee has been nearly flawless all year long, but his first interception will come at the worst possible time and Arizona State’s defense will get a huge shot in the arm.

The Sun Devils will improve to 5-1 on the year and Herm Edwards’ squad will likely sneak into that top-20 range come Sunday afternoon.
