1. Jack Coan will bounce back

A quarterback’s confidence can be crushed at the first sign of a coaching staff not putting full trust in him. Notre Dame has shuffled between three quarterbacks ever since Jack Coan went down with an injury against Wisconsin, but the veteran will shake this off and have a huge bounce-back game against the Hokies.

Coan actually hasn’t played exceptionally well since the Florida State game, but he was solid against Toledo and Purdue, passing for 462 yards and four touchdowns with just one pick. He had 158 yards and a touchdown before exiting the Wisconsin game.

It’s time he has a really good game against an opponent that isn’t exactly a world-beater. The Hokies have a solid secondary, but Coan has to be ready to prove himself as the best starting option. I think he’ll have a huge bounce-back game.

I’m predicting 260 yards and two touchdowns with no picks and a completion rate of around 65 percent as he leads the Irish to a huge road win.
