I think Iowa stays in the top 10 after losing to Purdue, but man, was this ever a terrible loss. Dropping a home game to Purdue is going to haunt Kirk Ferentz and Co. probably because this is one they had no business losing.

I see the Hawkeyes probably dropping to the  bottom of the top 10, but I don’t think they’re a top-five team after losing to the Boilermakers.

It was a tough day offensively for the Hawkeyes and this may have been a hangover game after beating Penn State in a top-five battle a week ago. It’s hard to say the Hawkeyes aren’t one of the top-five teams in the country even after this loss, but the Boilermakers put up about 450 yards of total offense while the Hawkeyes were only able to muster about 360 yards and just seven points.

Ferentz is going to have to worry about holding that first-place position in the Big Ten West after this loss, but his team should still be in the top 10.
