Michigan State Football: Spartans who deserve game ball in win vs Indiana

If low-scoring games with a lot of field goals, battles of field positioning, and a few takeaways are what you enjoy then this game between Michigan State football and Indiana was right up your alley.

It may have not been Alabama vs Texas A&M like last week on the offensive side of the ball, but was still an interesting game to watch overall. Especially late in the game as it was still a one-score game.

The game was not the prettiest for Michigan State football but it is not easy to go on the road and win and that is exactly what they did on Saturday.

The Spartans improved to 7-0 on the season and now have to wait two weeks before their huge game against rival Michigan on Halloween weekend in East Lansing.

Here are three players who deserve a game ball for Michigan State in their win over the Hoosiers.

Kenneth Walker III – Running Back

Last week Kenneth Walker III had a huge day. Huge might not even do enough justice when you rush for 233 yards on the ground in one game. Kenneth Walker III didn’t rush for that many but still had a very productive week against the Hoosiers.

The Hoosiers were hyped coming into this matchup in trying to knock off the Spartans but the Heisman trophy candidate in Walker III made sure that did not happen on Saturday in Bloomington. Walker ran for 84 yards on 23 carries in the 20-15 win.

He will need to rest up as much as possible during the bye week because the Spartans enter the toughest stretch of their season coming up here soon. Michigan, Ohio State, and Penn State all still remain on the schedule for Michigan State along with Maryland and Purdue.

The Spartans are going to need their star running back to be fresh and help carry the load for them the rest of the way.
