Florida Football: 3 bold predictions for November 2021
A season that was expected to see Florida football contend for an SEC title has been anything but successful. In fact, the Gators have been wildly disappointing.
Through eight games, Florida is 4-4 and the Gators have lost a couple of straight games to LSU and Georgia. Can they get back on track with a big month of November against four winnable teams?
Let’s get bold ahead of Florida’s month of November.
3. Anthony Richardson starts for the rest of the year
I’m a big believer in Anthony Richardson and I have been all year. And last week’s performance against Georgia did not dissuade me. The Bulldogs have the best defense in the country so Richardson’s 12-for-20 completions with just 82 yards and two interceptions didn’t make many believers, but he’s better than that line.
Emory Jones is a decent quarterback but I just don’t think he raises the ceiling of this offense while Richardson does.
Richardson started against Georgia and got his first loss, but it was just a bad game for the Gators as a whole. Jones played well in relief, but I think Richardson has to be the guy going forward. You have to see what you have in the younger guy and Dan Mullen knows that.
Not only will Richardson be QB1 from here on out, I think he’ll be one of the best stories in the final month of the season. He’ll pass for over 1,000 yards, rush for over 200 yards, and have 12 total touchdowns in November.
