College Football Playoff Rankings 2021: Projected Top 25, Week 11
No one expected LSU to put up a fight in Tuscaloosa on Saturday night, but the Tigers made the Crimson Tide fight for everything in this rivalry battle.
Nick Saban didn’t sound too pleased with the offensive execution after the game as his Tide put up just 20 points despite having one of the best quarterbacks in all of college football and elite skill position players everywhere, but he did applaud his defensive effort for holding LSU to just 14 points.
This was the last meeting between Saban and Ed Orgeron as the LSU head coach will be stepping down following the season so this fun rivalry will have fewer soundbites moving forward.
Alabama will probably stay at No. 2 despite the close win on its home field because Michigan State lost behind the Tide and Oregon’s win over Washington wasn’t all that impressive. The same could be said for Ohio State’s win at Nebraska.
Alabama remains the top threat to Georgia at No. 1 even though I don’t think this is your typical dominant Tide team.
